United States President Joe Biden issued a massive pardon for people convicted of simple marijuana possession. The announcement came on Thursday, October 6, 2022. The pardon extends to those convicted on federal charges and those convicted in the District of Columbia. Biden further called on state governors to follow his lead by pardoning people convicted on state charges for simple marijuana possession.
