How does it work?
Learners see words or phrases for an adjustable 'flash time' that automatically speeds up as reading speed and memory improve. This challenges them to scan text more quickly in a fun and non-threatening way - they often see it as a game where the aim is to beat the computer.
Exercises are randomly produced each time so no two exercises are identical within a topic.
At the end of 10 questions, there is a change of background or on the animated scenes (eg. farmyard) the animals do something, which intrigues and encourages the user to keep practising in order to be 'rewarded' at the end.
When used regularly it produces rapid and permanent improvements. This reading program is suitable for all ages and abilities. The following areas will find it beneficial:
